Red face: Although the corticosteroid was injected into the joints, enough gets into the systemic circulation that it may cause facial redness and warmth. However I wouldn't expect much of a fever. Certainly significant fever and especially shaking chills would be of concern for infection. It appears that fever has resolved which is reassuring.
