Hi... i have a 4 year old boy...on his second birthday he had this white patches only on the face and they lasted almost 8 months... tried different creams but nothing seemed to work at a time... patches are back and his hair turning white?

Many causes: Autoimmune disease may be considered, but often the white patches are related to sun exposure and allergic skin conditions. Fungal infections are another consideration. I would recommend using a gentle fragrance free soap, sunblock cream and seeing your PCP for autoimmune disease and diabetes screening.
