My neck, left shoulder & upper back are stiff & sore after loading 1 bag into the overhead bin in a airplane yesterday. it seems a tad better this am. could this be a pulled muscle? how do i recover faster/when can i begin working out again?

Strain: This over head lifting resulted in strained muscles which will take a week or so to heal. Don't exercise while you still have discomfort. In the meantime apply alternating cold and warm applications and, if you can take them, take anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or naproxen with food for several days. If severe muscle tightness occurs, your physician may prescribe a muscle relaxant
