I used to have frequent migraines, a neurologist suggested i don't ingest coffee or analgesic pain killers. they had reduced to 1 every couple of months in 2019, however i have been under a lot of exam stress and am experiencing one now. action?

Headache: I agree with your neurologist that regular use of analgesics should be limited, but on an as needed basis they are not harmful. Sounds like you need something. Tylenol or NSAID usually helpful. Magnesium has shown to be helpful on a more regular basis for migraines. Magnesium glycinate preferred.

Migraines : Glad to hear that the headaches have decreased in frequency. Learning some self-hypnosis can help you loosen muscles, relax blood vessels, etc. depending on the type of headache you have. A clinical psychologist trained in clinical hypnosis can help (asch.net). Peace and good health.

There are: a number of new MIGRAINE "preventative" drugs. Suggest strongly you seek a Headache Specialist (start with your Family Physician) These are not pain killers!! They are migraine specific treatments! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
