Trial only: The answer will be in your symptoms if you start it. If worsening of your arrhythmia or symptoms such as lightheadeness or chest pain you might not be able to tolerate it in the long run. An ecg would only provide limited information as it is usually done at rest and you might need a cardiologist evaluation that might include a loop monitor or Holder in order to assess your baseline palpitations.

Yes but..: Most patients with palpitations can take stimulants but a thorough cardiac evaluation that may include a holster monitor and an echocardiogram to rule out serious arrhythmias and structural heart defect. On a positive note, most people with palpitations do not have a serious heart condition.
