A member asked:

Is a bone marrow transplant going to pass on donor characteristics like hair color?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Hair loss is common after receiving cancer treatments including bone marrow transplant. When the hair grow back, they are often of different color and texture(may turn curly!). It is not due to bone marrow itself but due to chemotherapy (and due to whole body radiotherapy, which is sometimes added to chemotherapy treatments).
