3 days in a row ive blood while bowel movement. today i saw cut on anus (psoriasis was also there). can blood be sign of anything contagious? can i avoid visiting doc and having colonoscopy done? (no other symptoms:doesnt hurt and have no burning).

Some basics: Bright red blood found on the surface of poop is most likely fresh & from a cut/fissure/sore at the outlet. Darker maroon blood would come from higher up in the system & be more worrisome for a problem needing colonoscopy.Dark blood mixed within the poop can be from an infectious disease like salmonella but these are usually marked by diarrhea.
