Corticosteroid cream: Triamcinolone cream is fine at the usual concentration of 0.1% (check the label). It's more potent than hydrocortisone and probably will be more effective in controlling the itch. But potent corticosteroids like triamcinolone should not be used for prolonged periods on delicate tissues like the vulva. And never use alone for yeast. Without anti-yeast treatment; it could make the infection worse.
