A member asked:

I am slightly short sighted & spend a lot of time viewing a monitor. i see my opthalmologist regularly. someone told me that taking a break & looking at distant objects can help. is there any medical evidence for this or is it an old-wife's tale?

Computer use: I'm not sure of medical studies, but that advice is spot on if you wish to avoid eyestrain, headache or computer fog or fatigue which can occur with prolonged staring at a computer screen.
