A member asked:

At home heart monitor caught a-fib three times. heart dr or pcp never even told me. they just said to lose weight and take a baby aspirin a day. i found out when i got my medical records. is this serious? what else should i do?

In my opinion, as a non-cardiologist, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation does raise concerns of potential stroke risk. This should be clarified ASAP from your "heart doctor", as reports are often computer driven, and may well have different interpretations when reviewed by a cardiologist.
