Laryngoscopy: It is possible to irritate the the posterior pharynx and larynx wit a laryngoscopy. However, this should be something that would resolve in a few days. If the procedure was done emergently that can be associated with more complications or for example if a person were on a blood thinner and needed immediate procedure. As a rule the procedure is pretty safe.
