Systolic is usually in the 120 range, but now it is in the 150s 3 days later, i take 25mg/day of toprol. should i call my doctor about this?

Blood pressure: Although a BP of 150 is elevated it is not an emergency unless you are having symptoms such as chest pain or headache. Would be helpful to get measurements for a week or maybe two. Take at various times of day. If blood pressure readings remain high then medication adjustment warranted. If you are on Toprol the maximum dose is 100 so if needed an increase in the dose may help.
