1 year old who cant sleep due to not being able to breath(choking and screaming) because of the phlegm. two weeks ago we had him at the gp with tonsillitis then last week we had him at the pead where he was the diagnosed with a viral infection.

1 yr old cant sleep: Placing a wedge under head of bed ( under the mattress so no suffication ) or if the crib is adjustable elevate the head of bed may promote better drainage and prevent reflux -(discuss reflux w/ MD). Clarinex is a FDA approved antihistamine for children under 2- could try 1-2 ml prior to bed. Discuss nasal suction to clean out nose prior to bed (use sterile saline) f/u /w/ MD
