Xray: Hand injuries occurring in young children should be evaluated by an imaging test. Even in the image is negative, follow up with your PCP who will determine if further consultation with a specialist is required. In the meantime, ice, rest and a splint/dressing will help to immobilize the fingers. Tape the adjacent finger to the injured finger with adhesive medical tape and please see your PCP.
