7.7 billion people: There are 7.7 BILLION people on this little planet and we aren't done yet. Shower gel always seems more expensive per shower and feels like a larger amount of chemicals down the drain (perhaps into our oceans). Bar soap feels like less stuff consumed per shower. With billions of showers a day, we have to use the most efficient methods. That said, shower gel is plenty effective, just like bar soap.
