Can a uti cause glucose in the urine. it was seen on dipstick. have never been told i was diabetic. my fasting glucose is always been low and no symptoms of diabetes. i did have a lot of sugary drinks and not the best food this weekend before test?

Glucose in urine: In rare cases i have seen glucose, especially low amounts like 50 -100 in urine in individuals who were not diabetic. You may be pre- diabetic though . Would treat the infection and follow up with Hgb A1c and repeat urine glucose. I think some of the individuals who I have seen the positive glucose negative diabetes just had a low threshold for spilling sugar, which may be the case here.
