On the right side under the ribs includes the breathing muscles (diaphragm and rib muscles), the liver, the gallbladder (which might have gall stones), part of the small intestine, part of the large intesting, part of the pancreas, etc... For example, pain from gallstones usually requires removal of the gallbladder.
