Worry a little: In general, a woman can ask her doctor to describe any additional tests that are available or needed to better tell if the baby fetus has a major mutation, and to discuss what "intermediate risk" numbers mean. For example, if there is a 1/300 chance of DS, that means 299 out of 300 babies are expected to NOT have Down Syndrome.

Would it matter: Screening tests are meant to select out those with a bit higher risk than the general population. Then a more expensive definitive test can be obtained for the people that want the information. It is the standard of care. Some in your position would want the relief that comes from a negative definite test, some would want to plan ahead if positive. Only you can decide what the information is worth
