If not constipation,: If it is not constipation (collection of stool in the left lower abdomen) that goes away with a bowel movement, then her primary care doctor can check to see what the problem might be. Doctor can examine to see if there is a mass of some kind in the abdomen or pelvis. Sometimes an infection, an unusually-located appendicitis, a kidney or ovary problem, or some sort of tumor can cause such pains.
