Hi, i am wondering if i was exposed to syphilis, unlikely, if i took ten days of amoxicillin for strep starting 2 says after possible exposure. they were .875 twice a day for ten days. i was told to not even bother testing for syphilis, is this true ?

No risk, no worry: Amoxicillin in that dose definitely would abort syphilis if you had caught it. It is true there is no point in testing for syphilis: it takes at least 2-3 weeks of active infection before the blood test can be positive. Don't get tested and don't worry further about it.
