Mgt: It may be local irritation but it is important to finish the course of antibiotics as prescribed by your PCP. Stay well hydrated and rest during your recovery.

Doubt it: Sometimes the symptoms of strep throat will improve whether you take meds or not. By only taking two days, you may have slowed it down a bit, but the reason we give you a full treatment course of 10 days is to get it all. You did the most common error in compliance.You decided you were better and stopped, probably wanting to keep the left over med for something else.Sad you got sicker.
