The assumption: Newborns swallow air with all feeds and usually fuss for a variety of reasons. They make a variety of random sounds of no specific value. When they fuss they constrict their breathing muscle which pooches out their belly making it hard. People assume this means belly pain or indigestion when it is likely not. If the kid is filling out, feeding well & playful at time I would ignore it.
