The transition: Newborns go through many adaptions in their 1st month. They are often seen as restless when they change from the tight confines of the womb to the freedom of movement outside. Their breathing is marked by adaptation to providing their own oxygen. This includes learning timing & depth of breathing needed to satisfy the different needs of sleep vs active movement. After a month this settles some.

Call your pediatrici: Any concern with breathing worth discussing with pediatrician As long as he is eating well not an emergency but worth checking out
