I have taken 0.5mg of ativan right before bed for the past two nights. i dont take any other meds and im just starting this medication. i have a gathering to go to today and want to habe a few drinks. is it safe to drink since its been over 12hrs?

No: You are right to be concerned one should never combine Etoh and benzodiazepines -such as Ativan. Any question you have about your medication should be discussed with your prescriber The 1/2 life of Ativan is 12 hours 1/2 the dose is out of the body, it will take a few more 1/2lives to be gone
