IUD string ?'s: The uterine wall contracts and an IUD may be pushed into the cervical canal, and the string will protrude beyond the cervix. See your gyn physician for an exam, as the IUD location may not protect as well against pregnancy. The string also may just have not been trimmed short when it was installed.
