What can i do for frequent post nasal drip leading to sore throat and cough? could it be allergies?

Could be: If the mucus clear and watery, it could be due to allergies. Using a corticosteroid nasal spray like flonase and taking an oral antihistamine like claritin(which is nondrowsy) should help. There are prescription medications like singulair that could be tried. If the mucus is yellow or green, sinus infection could be the cause. An Otolaryngologist can evaluate and advise you.
