A member asked:

I'm having 'stich in my side type pains' in my lower right ribs that hurts constantly and worsens when i breathe and move. i have no clue what it could be and what to do. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can evaluate: Things that are under the right ribs include the breathing muscles (diaphragm and rib muscles), stomach, liver, gallbladder (which might have gall stones), part of small intestine, part of large intestine, etc... If pain comes with breathing, the source could also be ribs, their cartilage, or the pleura (lining of ribs' inner surface and lungs' outer surface). Pleural irritation is pleuritis.
