A member asked:

If a lacrimal nerve is damaged or injured, how would this affect the eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lacrimal nerve: Good question- first, objectively identifying lacrimal nerve damage is very difficult if not impossible, but if it's damaged it will cause problems with tearing (lacrimal duct) and upper lateral (outside) eyelid palsy (movement or drooping). I have not seen this in 23 years practice.
