Basics: I consider a bad cough & nasal obstruction as a sign of a mild upper respiratory tract infection. They may or may not have fever with these. A blocked nose interferes with feeding. I would work to clear the nose with nasal saline wash and remove airborne irritants like dust/smoke/fumes from the environment.
