In babies...: To save some babies from SIDS, there is a cost which is large numbers of babies with flatter occiputs. The occiput is the back of the head, and is part of the cranial base. A corrective helmet can help a baby's head round out. An adult head is hard and solid, so bones have to be cut apart to move them. Doubt a surgeon will do that unless a situation is severe. Craniofacial clinics can help.

Using this site: You get the most from this site when you provide detailed information about a health issue followed by a clear related question. Room for a response is limited. In its present form your post is vague. How old is the patient? What is the basis of the asymmetry label? Given today's technology there are fixes for most issues if you have time & money. The location/type of such services vary.
