A member asked:

Have been vaginally bleeding for 6 months nonstop. is there anything else besides surgery i can do? i really dont want surgery. norethindrone stopped working

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding "6 mo." ?: Vaginal bleeding continuously for "6 months" may be due to fibroid tumors and rarely, polyps. Fibroids can be reduced by selective blood vessel embolization, and polyps can be similarly diagnosed by pelvic U/S, with curative hysteroscopy. If the bleeding has led to anemia, surgery (removal of fibroids or polyps) may be your best option.
