I took my 6 week old to the paediatrician to discuss the fact that he vomits a lot after feeds. he advised we should give smaller feeds more frequently. he still vomits & cries for more through the day. what is going on?should i get a second opinion?

Reflux: This is a very common pattern labeled gastroesophageal reflux. The entrance to the stomach is a fold of tissue, not a flap or true valve. It allows food to go both ways. The stomach is a muscular organ that contracts & molds the food preparing it for digestion. The tendency to reflux gradually increases as baby gets stronger, peaking at 4 mo & declining when they sit/stand.
