Yes ..but: I am reluctant to use any but acetaminophen can be used in small amounts. Many times distraction with a little sugar water will also help. Most fussing in infants is more behavioral /communication frustration than pain. We assume there is pain but I always look for another reason. The average 1 mo fusses for 1-2 hrs/d for no reason.
