I have continued pain in my lower abdomen after a hysteroscopy and myomectomy which removed a submucousal fibroid. my gynecologist said pain is to be expected but the procedure was 2 weeks ago.

Myomectomy ?'s: Pain from a myomectomy may last for 4-6 weeks, as uterine contractions will invoke pain secondary to inflammation resulting from even hysteroscopic surgical removal of fibroids. Ask your gyn for an exam and evaluation of the pelvic pain, to rule out infection/inflammation.
