Last night, i got a throbbing headache. i drank plenty of water, so its not dehydration. i woke up in the night to use the restroom, and my mouth felt like it was coated in something. i didnt felt that today, but i have a sore throat and a headache?

Need exam: Bad headache and sore throat are symptoms of infection, strep throat being high on the list, although some viruses will also cause these symptoms. It would be safe to use pain medication like ibuprofen and to gargle with warm salt water until you can make an appointment. Strep throat is treated with antibiotics, but antibiotics are not effective for viral infections.
