Not to late, but...: ...is it necessary? Certainly the vaccine will prevent HPV if exposed. But assuming a monogamous relationship, it may not be needed. It depends largely on your husband's past sexual lifestyle, i.e. the likelihood he has an active, transmissible genital HPV infection. Discuss with him and your doctor.
