A member asked:

So ive read that some amount of particles of human excrement remain in underpants after a wash. so would it be reasonable that i should be replacing my tighty-whitey briefs sooner than i have been?

No worries: It depends on what "after a wash" means. Surely there are "particles of human excrement" on every human you meet on a daily basis. We live with our bacteria, as we have forever. We cannot survive naturally without gut bacteria. It is estimated that there are as many, or a little more, bacteria in a human's gut than the total number of cells in his body. We are outnumbered and that's the way it is.
