Can anyone tell me how long an alt level will be slightly elevated because of weight loss? will it be as long as im dieting? does anyone have knowledge on this topic? alt 39 (range 0-32) it was 15 last year.

Need more info: Weight loss is not a usual cause of elevation of ALT. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely, avoid liver toxic drugs like acetaminophen. 39 is near normal. You may repeat it in 6 months or so. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
