My almost 9 year old son had a bp reading of 117/89, taken at the hospital for what ended up being diagnosed as a minor ocular headache. is that bp normal? a reason for concern?

Abnormal: I would invest in a home BP monitor & check this several times over several days. There are wrist BP monitors that can be accurate if done right. Have him rest & hold the monitor at heart level. If the average remains high (high>125/low>75) I would want to evaluate him for BP issues. It may have just been a one time event.
