A member asked:

I want to know what is the difference between nhs and private dentists?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How they are paid: Nhs(national health service) dentists are paid by the government and work in areas where there is a lack of dentists available--low income, indian reservations, heavily rural areas, etc. Private dentists work where they can make a living and are paid by their patients. The types of procedures each does is based on their patient's needs and wants, but can be very similar.
