Hi my son is 11 years old have been to the doctor on saturday. he has a very bad cough. was given duro tuss linctus. avamys nose drops. allecet and aspelone. giving him since saturday but no improvement. do i take him back to the doctor.

Your choice: Of the meds listed the steroid nose drops & med take days to show any benefit, but sometime help. The cough med does little for many kids that age. Mucus cutting agents like Mucinex might help more. If you feel he's worse a visit may find a new complication. Yet bad colds/coughs sometimes persist for weeks.
