What vaccine is the beste for cervical cancer(cervarix/gardasil)?i got a prescription for gardasil because it covers more hpv, but is it necessary to cover genital warts?shouldn't i choose cervarix which is more effective on hpv 16/18? i'm not sure.

Some basics: Both vaccines are equally protective against 16/18.Preliminary results suggest protection is fractionally longer with cervarix, but long term studies have not been done that sort this out. Gardasil 4 does add protection against 2 genital wart strains & Gardasil 9 covers 7 cancer associated & 2 wart strains. As a practical matter I never stocked cervarix and only gave G4 (G9 when it came out).
