Chest distress,gerd: Possibilities include hiatal hernia, inflammation of stomach lining(gastritis),gastric ulcer, inflammation of the esophagus(esophagitis), gall bladder pathology. A gastroenterologist would be best to evaluate you. Appropriate tests will be ordered and/or performed. In the meantime avoid greasy and spicy foods,alcohol, large feedings, eating after supper and take omeprazole. Mylanta as needed.
