Check-up!: An acute cause of high blood pressure could be stress, but it can happen on its own or it can suddenly occur due to an underlying condition, such as kidney disease. Legal & illegal drugs such as birth control pills, cold remedies, cocaine & amphetamines are also possible causes. Go for another check-up & lead a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition & exercise. I wish you well with your health.
