A member asked:

I got the stomach flu two nights ago and now my sister is throwing up. is it possible to get reinfected with the same virus strain within days? or has my body built an immunity to it?

You're immune: The most common cause of "stomach flu" (viral gastroenteritis, unrelated to influenza) is norovirus, which is highly infectious; once in a household, most household members catch it. Almost certainly you and your sister are sharing the same norovirus and she caught it from you. You're immune to catching it again. Use common sense hygiene around her, but don't worry about getting sick again.
