Standard therapy.: Just follow standard therapy, and make sure you take your medication every day as directed. If you have had i-131, most people will eventually require thyroid hormone replacement such as synthroid (thyroxine). Others will be on anti-thyroid medication (ptu, methimazole). Take your medication regularly and have your doc monitor your blood work. It may sound basic, but it works.
