Reversible: Hair loss is a known side effect of Arava. In arthritis studies, 10% of people taking Arava experienced hair loss - a higher number than the other treatments to which it was compared. It’s worth sharing your concerns with your doctor both up-front and if you experience hair loss. However, that hair loss is reversible - if a person stops taking Arava, his hair grows back.
