You benefited...: ---symptomatically from a reduction in stomach acid while taking rabeprazole. Now that your acid production has resumed off the drug, you've again noticed acid-related symptoms. Every drug has advantages and disadvantages to long term use--discuss with your provider whether restarting an acid blocker in your case has more "pro" than "con.".
