Supportive care, but: If it is really the flu (Influenza) or just a bad cold, supportive care is the best way to go. Fever and pain control, hydration, etc. If it is influenza then treatment with Tamiflu can help but only if started within the first 24 hours of symptoms. Symptoms can last for a long time. But if he has continued high fevers, chest pain, abdominal pain, cannot hold down fluid, etc then seek help.
