Hello: Hi, it is not in the normal range, actually is high. That amount is the equivalent to more than 240mg/dl of cholesterol. A physician check up is needed to determine if the measure is correct and then to know if any medical intervention is needed.

High cholesterol: In order to fully answer your question, we would have to know the levels of HDL and LDL. One rule of thumb is that the total cholesterol shouldn't be more than 4 times the HDL(the good cholesterol). However many clinicians put more emphasis on the LDL(the bad cholesterol). Your laboratory can give you the desirable levels of LDL and HDL.
